About NIOS

The North Idaho Operator Section (NIOS) is a Section of the Pacific Northwest Clean Water Association (PNCWA), a Member Association of the Water Environment Federation (WEF). NIOS is composed of water and wastewater operators and other water environment professionals from the northern part of the State of Idaho. Our section stretches from the Canadian border to the Salmon River and includes the counties of Bonner, Boundary, Kootenai, Shoshone, Benewah, Latah, Clearwater, Nez Perce, Lewis, and Idaho. Click here for a map that shows the various areas within the section. PNCWA counts members from Idaho, Oregon, and Washington. NIOS members participate in monthly meetings and classes, annual State of Idaho Operator Conferences, and the Annual PNCWA Conference. Click Here for a Copy of the NIOS By-Laws.
